Copper prices Ended Lower

Copper prices ended lower on Friday mainly due to heavy profit taking as the drop in consumer confidence raised questions over the state of US economy.Copper hit a fresh ten-and-half-month high on Friday amid confidence by the economic growth in Europe and as the federal reserve said that the US economy was showing signs of stabilization.Copper for September delivery was down 2.7 percent down 7.80 cents to settle at $2.836 a lb.Copper may fall next weak after imports by China declined.Other base metals prices were also down,aluminum was down 3.7 percent,nickel down 5 percent.
