Indian rupee eased on Friday following weak equity markets and with concerns of swine flu and weak monsoon situation while dollar demand was their from some foreign banks.Stock market was choppy and ended down 0.8 percent which raised concerns about capital outflows.Weak monsoon rains increased worries about slowing economic growth which led equity markets and rupee lower.Rupee ended at Rs 48.24/25 a dollar.Indian rupee was down 0.85 percent against the US dollar for the week ended Friday.
